Elijah Prok – Metal, Hip-Hop, And Everything Else In Between

 

Elijah Prok is now following his dreams of being a musician and is working on several projects. He has realized that music is his life’s passion and has spent the last several years honing his craft and is looking forward to presenting some new songs soon.

 

Elijah Prok, has had an interesting path to fame; the show Catfish has marked his life forever. Elijah and Solana were featured in one theCatfish episodes and to our surprise was one of the featured stories that did have participants that were communicating false feelings asElijah was honest about the feelings that he professed to Solana who was and continues to be in a relationship with someone else. After the show the couple continue going on their separate ways; but the fame he has received and the fans that follow him have not left him.

 

 I had a chance to chat with Elijah recently for Global Music Magazine and this is some of what we chatted about:

Wendy: Elijah, you have been working on your music and continue to have fans who are following you on your social media sights and they are wondering what is coming, what can they expect from you soon.

 

Elijah: After several years of playing music with several local bands here in Minnesota, and just having all kinds of different music genres that I am interested in exploring; I am looking forward to several projects that are in development.

 

Wendy: I see that you are into metal music, and you also rap, and are into hip-hop. What musical genre are you gravitating more to these days?

 

Elijah: Well I have always loved metal music that is what I first started singing and have several covers I videotaped and uploaded to You Tube; but there is something about freestyling lyrics that I have been doing for a while. I find myself rapping all day and it provides a very personal form of expressing thoughts and experiences.

 

Wendy: So is that what we will be looking forward to in your upcoming projects, Elijah the rapper?

 

Elijah: I really enjoy rapping and the creative aspect of it especially when you are in the studio with likeminded people and all of a sudden someone mentions an idea or says something that just triggers all these thoughts that transforms into rap lyrics and it’s like you are in a zone that is totally gratifying. I would really like to have a musical career where I can have fusion of all the different genres I like, metal, rock, hip-hop, pop; whatever speaks to me.

 

Wendy: Which are the rappers that you are into right now?

 

Elijah: I really like Tyga, Eminem, and Drake; but who does not like Drake? They all have their different styles that I really like.

 

Wendy: Would they be the people who you dream of collaborating with in the future?

 

Elijah: Definitely I would like collaborate with any of them; I also like what Justine Bieber and what he has done with his latest CD; the music is really good.

 

Wendy: Are there any musicians in your family; where does this interest in music come from?

 

Elijah: My mother’s side of the family many of them sing but believe it or not they sing country music (he laughs). Country music has been part of my life forever; my mom has a great voice. I believe I am the only one in my family who does not perform country music.

 

Wendy: WOW… I did not expect that, being that you have this rocker look about you and the covers you have on You Tube.

 

Elijah: I am sure my family did not expected either (he laughs).

 

Wendy: So what can we expect in the near future?

 

Elijah: Well I am currently in the studio working on some tracks and collaborating with Cartier (https://youtu.be/6YOZDJNPW4Y)

and I am also working with Danny C for which a I am doing some rapping for his cover of a freestyle remix of Childish Gambino – Bonfire (available on YouTube (https://youtu.be/K7AMqeL_xao) : Danny C and Elijah Prok Freestyle Remix Childish Gambino – Bonfire).

 

Wendy: Is there is a special message you would like express to your fans?

 

Elijah: I just really want to thank them for all their support throughout the years and that I hope that my music is what I will really be known for going forward. I am working really working hard to live my dreams and I am praying just as hard that they enjoy it.
